• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Yesterday's update...I got the audio wired and the sub box configured...but I'm not a fan of the frequency range of the box. I feel like it had lost a lot of the low end. I made a post about it in the audio thread if anyone wants to check it out. It's still not covered though so no pics until it is. :D

EDIT: I found the cause of my low frequency loss of my subs. It was all in the "Q" setting on the amp. I had it set up like each sub was in its own airspace. Once adjusted, my subs now hit low and clean. I'm loving it! Next step, carpet the mofo.

Yay update! And, yay pictures to go with it! Today, I didn't necessarily do a lot on the car. I went and visited my mom for a bit, then came back and helped my dad do a heater core on a Chevy S-10 Blazer. What a stupid design that thing is! Afterwards, I did some work on the car. I semi-wired the fuel pump rewire (at least everything that needed to be done in the trunk) and did this...

That's right...red sub box. I love it. My dad being a jack of all random things covered it, and it looks fantastic. I then cleaned the trunk carpet and installed that. Then came sub box time...

There is no way in hell that thing is ever coming out again. I also think it is doing more bracing than my rear strut tower brace. Hmmm...

40lbs for 2 12s is very light, but he still has good results because he has awesome equipment. Now, when you get to adding 70+ pound (EACH!) subs, you're hitting the point where performance mods are just an attempt to retain stock quickness.

"stock quickness" now that's a joke in and of itself.

Today's update...I continued taking care of little things that weren't engine involved. The interior is all clean and assembled minus door panels because I'm going to undercoat the insides of the doors.

First thing's first...I had a question of how to access my spare tire. I'm not sure but...

I think I have that covered. :D

Next, on my cleaning streak, I shampooed and scrubbed the seats...

Then I took care of my autodim rear view mirror. I ran the temp sensor wiring and transferred the three pins from the harness that was already dangling from my headliner to the 7 pin harness of my new mirror. I installed my new backup light switch, and checked operation. It works great!!!

My little brother had a friend of his stop by so he could install subs in the car for him...in other words, I ended up doing a sub/amp install on my little bro's friend's Cobalt. It was pretty straight forward.

Then, before anything really happened this morning, my dad's friend showed up for install of a hood my dad built for him. It turned out really nice and the guy got exactly what he wanted...an extreme hood for his X-Treme...

I know the last ones had nothing to do with my build in particular, but I thought it was still pretty damn cool.
