The Hobo G35, now with retrofits

Re: The silver surfer

Found some play money and now I wanna get some stuff for the car. Not looking to put to much into the car because I'm saving up (slowly) for a g35. So I'm thinking rockers and some visual things. Which rockers should I be looking at and far as installing is it pretty straightforward? Or should I be taking it to a shop?

Re: The silver surfer

Installed rockers on my rebuild just follow the torque specs and you should be fine

Re: The silver surfer

I did my last rocker install in an hour flat..promise. haha. Didn't even remove coolant elbows, just wiggled the alt bracket loose and squeezed the valve cover out from underneath it..... I've done a few

Re: The silver surfer

yeah an hour. I've done quite a few though. didn't change springs. That adds an hour ish. Use an air comp and a compression checker to fill the cylinders with air so you don't drop a valve and then just use a spring compressor and change em out.

Re: The silver surfer

Btw its really awkward if you forget to move the air compressor to the next cylinder and remove the valve lock, spring and you removed the valve seal... Ask me how I know.
