This is how the bay sits right now. I wanna do the valve covers but is there a shortcut to getting to this Damn thing? Also I want to do something with the alternator as well. Can I spray paint it? Spray paint it black of course.

Re: The silver surfer

Don't be lazy just remove them lol. No shortcuts. For the alternator take some long strips of painters tape and fold it over so both the sticky sides are together then take a long pick and use that to get the tape inside to cover the internals.

Re: The silver surfer

lol Just paint it all. No need to tape it off. Paint makes a good insulator haha

j/k j/k

Do like Red said up above. Take it off the proper way, there are no shortcuts, do it right the first time. And use tape to mask the insides and clean the exterior well so it will stick right and not chip off.

Re: The silver surfer

Since you gotta replace your LIM Gaskets soon it would be a great time to pull them off while you have everything off:th_thumb-up:

Re: The silver surfer

Damn that is looking good. One thing is i think you need to paint the Chrome piece on the intake black or the same color as the supercharger, it just seems out of place.

Still need to do something with the alt.....

I can deal with the black intake seems like a good idea and the alternator definitely needs to be painted. Imy
