The Gold Appearance Package



I wonder if it would look good with the grills in gold as well.

And now you see why I said to paint the front and rear fascia gold.
 
I think the front and rear fascia and grills would look good gold on it. Needless to say I'd keep it as is. Very unique from the perspective of someone who mentally comments on every GP I see.
 


IF you can match the gold facias would look good. Grills might be overdoing it, maybe just the outline gold and the hex left alone black.
 
There's one at an apt complex not too far from me, and another that I snagged the minty aftermarket tail lights off of in the yard a couple weeks ago. It is not any more valuable than its non-gold edition GP counterparts. Just another weak attempt by GM at producing a "special model".

That being said, I'm a bit of a nut for the "stupid special model" GMs myself, and it always bugs me to alter them. I guess it really comes down to how you feel about them, but I would not hesitate changing things on it for fear or ruining its monetary value. Most people wouldn't even notice, much less care that it is a "rare model", let alone pay extra for it. It's just kind of a unique thing that some GM nerds would like.
 


I had a black 97 with gold cross laced wheels and the gold trim around the body cladding with a tan interior. Only thing special was gold colored gtp logo in the floor mats and on the front headlights.

I was the original owner thats how it left the dealer.
 
I personally like the black with gold accents. I had never seen it on a Grand Prix before you popped up. But I really like the gold front fascia and ect that was photoshopped on, with the exeption of the bird on the good. It's not a firebird... Lol go with it! Everyone on here does the blue accents and such, so depends on your likes. Seems like a nice find!
