The FWD Cobra: Just one more thing then the MG gets all the attention

Re: The FWD Cobra: new WHEELS??

New wheels are on, I'm glad I didn't go with a lower offset or wider wheel, these are about where I want them, MAYBE a small spacer in the back. All the trunk has been cleaned up so the spoiler is gone.

As you can see I stuck with the Coke cans, just stuck them on the center caps. I also have some red lugs on the way so the caps won't pop as much.

Still want some LED tails

And more low

Re: The FWD Cobra: new WHEELS??

y is the spoiler gone? gp without a spoiler is absolutely horrible.

Re: The FWD Cobra: new WHEELS??

Weight redux duh

Bit really I think it looks great like this

Also before anyone PMs me again its not for sale lol

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

Trying out my luck with photography so I picked up an old Nikon EM film camera. Its pretty basic as far as features, full auto with manual focus. I shot a roll but found out the hard way that the light seals are shot which lets light get to the film. It doesn't completely ruin the film but pretty much the whole roll is trash. These are my favorite shots and also the ones that got out without any damage thankfully...with some editing. After I get it fixed I'll try again.

Kinda neat, I'd use a black/silver type can though myself. The kind with the painted tab would look cool.

Eibach springs, thin rubber for the isolators, now I'm going to see how many dead coils are on the springs, I may cut some off.

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

Nice shots. Still not my style wingless and all, bubble butt ROFLMAO but the car still has a nice stance and does look good in these shots.
Well Done.

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

You car is always looking so good. I like the wheels, I've heard they like to shatter though.

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

your stance is on point, but like you said needs a little bit more of a drop and it'll be right there.

That's all I want is a little more. Just a slight bit of tuck and I'll be happy.

I may as well go coils since I'm as low as I can go on these springs, short of cutting the dead coils but I don't have enough to feel comfortable doing it.

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

i thought about it, but then a fantastic set of coils fell into my lap for the right price.

then i can sell the springs since they're still perfect.

First I need to get the struts rebuilt, my front driver is leaving oil. In that downtime I could modify the housings for the sleeve and suck. I do still have my stock suspension and it rode just fine.

Or I could just go cheap and get spring clamps lol

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

how much of a difference did removing the isolators and putting rubber in make?

Re: The FWD Cobra: 17s are on

Not much really, 1/8" really. I just used thin rubber sheet since its so cheap.

Re: The FWD Cobra: coilovers???

Front driver side strut is blown, its leaking oil out of the adjustment knob. For the time being I'll just order GR2s, slap them on, and piece together a coil over setup for the front while I send the Konis off for a rebuild. The rears shall be done later down the road since they seem OK.

Painted the fender in grey primer, the indian was starting to look like sh1t so off with its head. The phone camera makes it look weird for some reason but its not this dark. Might do something special again...
