The FWD Cobra: Just one more thing then the MG gets all the attention

Re: The FWD Cobra: coil overs up front

Murphys law strikes again. It seems that the top of the struts were making contact with the hood so now the driver side is leaking oil out of the adjustment knob. Thankfully Koni gave me that other strut. Because of the dent in the hood I was able to drill holes in the perfect spots.

Also I started converted the rears and I got a little happy with the grinder. I pretty much just about cut off the strut above the swaybar bracket. Thankfully there's enough holding it on so it hasn't moved. I should be able to get it rewelded.

Also I raised up the from 3/4", I'm bottoming out to much. This town likes to tear up perfectly good roads and make them much worse.

How you liking the 500's up front? What setting are running around wit for now I'm rolling with 2 turns up front pretty decent ride quality. I got 10' 450's now gonna put them on today and see how I like the ride

Re: The FWD Cobra: coil overs up front

I like it, not to hard for me but I'm sure having the properly valved shocks helps as well, Also I'm running full stiff.

The springs in the rear are 400# but the shocks haven't been revalved.

I haven't had the chance to toss it around some corners yet or get some pics. It has a nice stance finally and feels tight.

Re: The FWD Cobra: I'm done with it....

Crappy cell pics. I'm pretty much done with the car now, for realz. There may be a couple of things added later on but for the whole it's done finally. I may have something else to dump my money into at the end of the week, and don't worry, I'm not selling the car.

Re: The FWD Cobra: I'm done with it....

well, you're not low enough and it doesn't look like oil. oil pan is good!

Re: The FWD Cobra: I'm done with it....

Tranny fluid. I haven't touched it, just going to take it to the shop and see what they say.

Re: The FWD Cobra: I'm done with it....

From the short time the shop looked at my car they're saying the front cover gasket blew. Is that good or bad? They were telling me that usually happens it's because the torque converter locked, but the car still felt fine the 1-2 miles I drove the car home.

Re: The FWD Cobra: I'm done with it....

We dont really have a front cover gasket, its not a RWD tranny.

There is a seal where the input shaft goes inside the transmission.
