Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

The Eaton Gen V supercharger faq / swap thread!! (genv, gen five, gen 5)

to run the N* throttlebody on a gen 5 what custom work do you need to do? also is there any benefit to porting the gen 5 lower intake manifold

I know this is going to sound kinda stupid, but wouldn't it make more sense for this to be in the engine section under the l67/l32? That is the first place I looked when I was trying to find it.

It is stickied, just in the How to section. And when I was trying to find it I was looking in the engine section.

Re-read the thread, you need a adapter plate to bolt the N* throttle-body up or any throttle-body. You need a tune to make it work, you need electrical adapter to plug it in and need bracket adapter to hook up throttle cable and cruise control.

Porting the manifold does not gave any significant performance increases. Flow restrictions are in the heads once you switch to a gen 5 supercharger.

I just purchased a rebuilt Gen V directly from Eaton
Great write up, already printed this out to help me through this swap!
Another question I was curious about, after you get this done are you supposed to remap your PCM? I'm hoping to stay running my 3.25 pulley on the new S/C so I'm a little nervous about the KR.
Thanks for any advice

what year, model, mods? Why nervous? You have read the Safely Modding your GP thread right? Lol...

a 3.25 pulley on a gen 5 is roughly the equivalent of a 3.0 on a gen 3 so you are probably going to need a full size intercooler with rockers or a cam, definitely need headers, and larger injectors.

Getting a re tune after a modification like this is likely going to make a big difference, but the car should run fine without it, barring any kr because you may not have the required supporting mods.

2001 Grand Prix GTP, Intake, Headers, Magnaflows, smaller pulley with tune.
To be honest I'm not 100% what size the pulley is, I purchased the car with these mods and the previous owner bought it from a dealership as a trade in the way it is now also.
I'll have to look into it. (Duh)
I'm just going to be into this Gen V swap for a decent amount of money when I purchased the car a month ago. Very frustrating.
It was my daily so I don't plan on modding it any further so I'll make sure to stick to a 3.4 it sounds like.
I just want the thing to run! haha
Thanks for the advice.

The S/C rotor locked up. I didn't want to spend 400 to go back to exactly what I had. I saw all this talk about the Gen V swap and it's around the same cost.
But there's a lot more to it then "bolt on" like everyone says. But it's too late now to turn around. I already have almost everything to do it.
I'll have to get a 3.6 on order just incase. Thanks for the input

Sounds like a great fix, old one is bad new one is upgrade. Most people upgrade a working supercharger.

So I've read this a couple times and I still can't seem to figure out the answer. I purchased the adapter plate for my TB to bolt up to the Gen V, which it already has the fitting installed on it. I ran a line from the fitting back to the nipple on the back on the S/C.
My question is about the inlet next to the nipple, I can't seem to figure out how to fix this issue.
I'm sure the answer is here I'm having a hard time figuring it out.
It's Picture 12, the inlet right next to where you mount the TB.
Thanks for any input!

The 12 th picture shows a port to the right of TB. Surface This gets capped or blocked. There was a valve in there for gas tank purge system. Your gen 3 car has a similar looking valve but it is not attached directly to supercharger.
