it don't work and i dont have a clue what the display is called but it's the one that shows the pic of the car and the boost gauge and exc. Well long story short just bought the car it was nasty cig smoke stained smelt horiable and needed some work heres what i did today just incase it might be usefull to some one. I changed the oil and reset the oil live meter. Then i emptyed my supercharger oil with a pump and put new oil in. Then i degreased and scrubed the engine bay and i did use digreaser but the car runs fine. Then i washed the car. Then me and my mom scrubed the inside of the car. But when she cleaned up there she said she took a almost dry tooth brush and cleaned (stock boost gauge) it and didn't get it to wet. im not sure if the car was on or off when she did this because i had it idleing to burn of the extera engine degreiser but she shut it off. Is there a way to turn this on or off? or do i have to get a new gauge?

look for a used driver information center.........I also recently purchased a 98 GTP that needed some work and have had to stick a fair amount of money into it.........good luck. They can be found at a junk yard, or on ebay for $35-50.00 atleast that is what they were two or three weeks ago.....

take a flashlight while the car is running and shine it on the display to see if its working or not, the light bulbs burnt out on mine i just replaced those and it was good to go

Was your display intermittent when you changed the bulbs? Mine is intermittent, but in the right light conditions I can see that the unit is functional, just not illuminated. My buttons are backlit, just the actual display is not lit up (it does however tend to come on randomly every once in a great while). Does this indicate bad bulbs? Seems to me more like maybe a loose wire or bad ground. Are there any common points to check? Anyone else come up with a different solution to an intermittent issue?
