The Blue Pig-My GTO

Got some decent photos taken of the car from someone who knows what the hell they are doing:

Had some time today to install a couple of things:

The arrowheads are sun faded and have turned orange I went ahead and got the front overlay from reflective concepts. Rear is on order.

I opted to go with the stainless inserts for the rear bumper as I think they look worlds better over vinly.

Then it was on to replacing the shifter boot which was dry, cracked, and well worn. The one that came with the car had white stitching and I opted to replace it with one that had blue stitching as I feel it fits the interior better. The new one is quite nice and I'm impressed with the quality of the boot. I do not however like how "skinny" the new boot is and will probably take some getting used to.

Not all the time, when done right with the right products, set up and supporting mods it can ride better then stock. Although, I'm not defending slammed cars.

you should try some of the road out here even tho we dont have snow or ice they may pave a road every 15 years so in that time frame it gets bad with patches.

very good looking gto.

you probably won't go for this, I can tell you like stock looking cars, but I have seen gto's with the tail lights smoked and the space between then paint black or a black vinyl inlay. looks really sweet and with a set of black housed headlights. that car would pop real nice.

You mean 2006 Tail lights?

Would love to pick me up a set. Just waiting for the right deal. As far as the headlights to I would have to see it in person. I typically don't like black headlights because the light output typically sucks.

Nice car. I'm wondering though... why did you spend the money on a shorter shifter handle rather than buy an actual short shifter? Like the GM Ripshift or others.
You didn't really change anything other than the handle giving you less leverage.

my bullet pro shifter is like computer joy stick.

clean looking gto

my lowered gto rides like a dream, so smooth

car looks amazing, i want me one soooo badly
They have gotten cheap. There's a few in my area around the 8K range. They are LS1's, but nothing wrong with that as they still put down decent power and are mod friendly if one wanted to take it to the next level.

Because I couldn't justify spending $2XX+ on a short shifter when the LSS was a fraction of the cost and still reduces shifter throw 20%. It may not seem like a lot, but there is a noticeable difference over the stock setup. Plus I'm not racing the goat just enjoying it on weekends on the occasional drive.

One shift on a gm ripshift or other high quality short shifter mechanism would have you throwing your money up in the air lol
