The Big 3

Would someone who has done the Big 3 upgrade to their '04+ Grand Prix take some pictures of where they mounted the wires along with a small detailed DIY write up for me? I want to do it, but I don't want to **** it up when I try. Thanks.

advanced search, narrow it down to the audio/electronics section and type in big 3 upgrade, capacitor, power wire, etc. I think big 3 upgrade might suffice your needs though.

I hate to do that it's just been brought up so many times. It's hard to rehash the topic again and again. So much misinformation these days :(

Thanks. Found a good thread on it. I can see why you seemed a little agitated when I asked that, lol. Thanks for the help.

anytime ;) It's good to have new members that can think for themselves! I'm always available for Q's if needed. PM even if you don't wanna put it out there to everybody

Cool. I think I'm going to do it next week....err I mean have a couple of my maintenance guys help me with it, lol. They are pretty knowledgeable with cars and can solder with the best of them, lol. I'm going to be pushing about 1600 watts rms, and at 600 watts rms now, the lights dim at times, so I figured I'd give it a go.

Great video, that makes it virtually dummy proof. Where would you recommend drilling in the trunk for better grounds?

May not be the best but I'm using one of the top bolts from the strut. FYI, some people use seat bolts. However, sometimes manufacturers use some type of zinc in their bolt and for whatever reason causes back feed in the ground introducing "alternator whine". So I stay away from seat bolts as a rule of thumb now.

You can remove a strut bolt without it shifting? I've always been afraid to screw with them, worrying that it would mess with it.
