That speedo thread

Classy Pontiac

So I put the GXP speedo in my car (06 Grand prix without ABS), the dash lights of traction, abs, and parking brake were on. Ran that speedo for a while. I got sick of the lights so I swapped boards, JUST BOARDS. I took the board from my factory speedo and put in place of the GXP board. Now there are no more lights...yay! But now the speed needle is off (obviously cause I am using my factory board with the GXP face plate).

My question is, is there a way to reprogram the speedo for the speed needle to line up properly? It reads as if I have a different tire size on the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I came into this thread expecting to see men in "speedos"

I'm not gay..... but yeah

I think you should be able to correct it, by doing the same as us 97-03 guys do when we put 04+ needles on. Do a certain speed (according to an aeroforce) pull the needle off, and place it back on at whatever the aeroforce says.

hey... I just bought A used 2001 Grand prix SE 3.1L and the needle is off when turned on the needle sits at like 10mph....... Could the speedometers boards be swapped on this car?
