That embarrassing Reeeeeeeeaaarrrrr noise

I have a 02 GT and for years it has been making this reeeeeeeeeear noise up front when I accelerate or turn. It is especially bad when I'm doing some wilder stuff. In the past few months or so it has gotten increasingly worse. Before i take it to a mechanic has anyone else had this problem or know what it could be? How to fix it? I can hear a beautiful exhaust note underneath it, and even the engine noise is good, that would be, without the ever present reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaarrrrr...

you may want to get some new fluid with leak stop in it, the fluid had to go somewhere, if ya know what i mean....
