being rear ended sucks reguardless whos at fault, been there done that. i agree with bio. just tap the brakes. or just slow down. make them pass you so they can be gone and outta your hair. why mess with people, thats how accidents happen.

i dont brake check simply because i dont trust other drivers.
 


I hate when people tailgate you and your going the speed limit and then they high beam you.

I had some ****ing asshole do that to my brother and then he switched lanes and got behind me and started doing the same thing. I was going the speed limit and not even in the left lane. He threw his high beams on and I said **** it, let go of the gas and went from 50 mph to 30 mph. I couldn't care less, besides I have auto dim mirror ;)

He went around and it was some douch bag in a newer ford explorer on his phone. That **** pisses me off. I don't care how fast your going, I'm not gonna risk a speeding ticket just to satisfy you.
 
I handle things similar to Bio but, once in a great while run into a big enough douche to give him a brake check. Silva is right about MA though. You rear end somebody, you are at fault automatically. Does not matter why it happened.

If you're overdriving your headlights, you're at fault.

If at day you can't see a car in BROAD DAYLIGHT, you're at fault... IMO. :th_nanana:
 


lemme guess.. those who brake check.. you guys never brake checked a cop before right? lol try it and see whos at fault.
 
they do when they're just waiting for you to screw up. they do it to me when i find myself driving at 2am. they run my plates and wait for me to do something illegal.

i have to disagree there. many times i have been followed for blocks by a cop literally 5 feet away from my bumper trying to make me nervous and do something illegal, and even if i don't do anything, they pull me over half the time anyway for their own amusement. Cops are dicks. I wont even talk to them anymore when they pull me over.

HA i did that to a dumb ***** in a Astro Van last week. She tried passing me on a double line on a two lane road and damn near go hit if i didn't speed up. Then kept riding my ass all the way to the highway i'd speed up she'd speed up i'd slow down and she would too so i waited until i got next to a semi and slowed down from 70 to 60 and brake checked her ass to HARD. I mean it threw things out of my seat onto the floorboards.

Needless to say i she stayed back after that. :D

Here the cops are the ones passing you, and if you don't get out of the way its your fault.

Same cop cut off my buddy before trying to get around me any nearly side-swiped him.

I get they have somewhere to be... but damn...

And a cop HAS to state clearly why he pulled you over otherwise he's ****ing with you or he has no valid reason to pull you over.

For the people who get pulled over after being tailed, do you have records?

And if a cop was tailing me that closely I'd pull into a gas station and stay in my car. If he follows you then I'd be concerned...
 
I've done that, had a cop riding my ass, so I just pulled off and stopped. The cop pulled off too, but just kept going when I stopped.

Well last time a cop pulled me over for nothing, it was like 2am coming home from work, no other cars on the road, and he followed me for like 10 minutes. when he finally stopped me, i asked him what i was being stopped for, which led to him pulling me out of my car, twisting my arm, slamming my head into my car, and putting his gun to my neck asking if i was still smart. For real. Then he put me on the ground in cuffs..took absolutely everything out of my car, went through everything, went through all my pockets, started telling me this car isnt registered to me, that my license is expired, blah blah blah CALLS ME EVERY NAME IN THE BOOK (real professional) SLAMMMMED the hell out of my doors. Then made me put everything that he threw all over the ground back in the car. At the end of all this i asked am i free to go..he said yep, but as soon as you pull out on the road (i stopped in a parking lot) im giving you a ticket for your license plate frame cause its illegal (definitely wasn't, it didnt cover any of the plate) so i had to take that off before i left. All he gave me out of this was a ticket for not producing my insurance card (couldnt find it through all the crap he threw everywhere) which was like a $60 ticket. he wasnt wearing a nametag, and when i asked, he said his name was 'nicole' lmao. Now if i get pulled over, i roll the window down just enough to hand my license and reg to the cop, and dont say one word to him at all. so far its worked well.
 


Next time I get pulled over (knocks on wood), I'm sticking my hands out the window and throwing the keys on the ground.
