22 a 2 wire harness with a connection is clipped to the back of the p/s pump, just learned this the other day first hand

Me either buddy...me either. I have cases (sorted) of parts/bolts etc on a shelf. When something hits the floor, I rarely kill myself going under the car for it. In a jiffy it's out of the case. When the car moves again, that one goes in the case.

There's also buckets of loose bolts waiting for some newbie to stop by and say.. "how can I help". :th_thumbsup-wink:

yes looked like 2 wires going into a male / female connection, a "T" like a sales shirt tag is attached came off the connection and clipped to the back side of the pump near the bottom.

i was close to just giving it the the old heave ho but i got up and on top and looked down and saw the wires were holding the pump in still.

and the pump was not all that was bad my rack is shot too, so i got another little job to do.

do you recommend any of these ebay cheap reman rack and pinions? or am i just asking for it, i found this one guy Complete Steering Rack and Pinion + NEW OUTER TIE RODS | eBay hes got good reviews but who knows if it will even last 2 years.
 
i said 2 because of the way the question was phrased... i new there were three coming throught to the engine bay, but u made it sound like you wanted the number of screw connecting it down in the wheel well.

Sounds like interpretation. Being that I work with a mechanic, I can tend to use the "terms" a bit at times.

The strut mount is the plate on top of the strut with the three studs on it. The strut tower is the body of the car where the strut mount is bolted into. Aka the part you see in the engine back that the mount is in
