• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Test BillBoost

Oh Taz.. you need to hit up harbor freight during a sale on their blind pilot bearing puller.

Middle one works like a champ on coolant elbow pieces and the transmission filter collar that you have in the picture. :th_winking:

You shouldn't be hurting a pilot bearing tool. And I tell ya..it's great for stuck elbows, those collars....oh yeah. 5 seconds and those collars never give a fight.

what company modded this car?

Nick.. those are some good ones. Damn huge pics too.
First pic.
LEFT: Bolt/nut combo from an H/C body holding the POS TA mount in the bottom position. Anyone that ever dealt with this on a Riv/PA has spewed obsenities, Bonne/LeSlopper you got room. Belt changes are fun huh?
LEFT CENTER: Axle nut
RIGHT CENTER: twisted remains of an easy out.
RIGHT: Based on size I'm going with TC bolt. However it looks more like a flexplate bolt to me from the side. A head shot would be the way I'd know w/o having it in my hand for true size comparison.

Second pic:
TOP: Since we all know the plug is size reference.. The top is a 10mm course thread bolt. Commonly found holding the TC inspection shield (explains the oil on it) and misc things of the nature. It would also be found holding the W body ps line to the subframe and a few other misc things.
BOTTOM: Thin 10mm holder nut. Used primarily to hold down things like the coolant overflow on the 99+ W bodies with the strut mounted bottle. Could also be found at times holding misc electrical loom onto a stud etc.

Third pic:
TOP: Rear engine cover bolt. The centering plastic piece is a give away.
Bottom: Timing cover/water pump bolt. If this is a timing cover it is the lowest left bolt, or one of the 4 13mm water pump bolts that are in the end corners of the pump/timing cover. Those are the 5 long bolt positions. Except for the long stud with the crank cover holding end, which could never be confused for a regular bolt head.

Last two pics:
Your "oh Shi*" drawer at work of spares, extras and to be used when you lose one in the future. Every mechanic working on the same types of cars all day has one. You also have some misc hardware store stuff in there, likely for engine stands and pullers etc.

Intrigue98/Max:
That bolt came from McMaster Carr, it's planned for your Gen V IC swap that you'll likely be doing at my place this weekend while I'm off camping.

LOL, I don't want to scare anyone off in case they want to stop by. You know how the newbs get to sort bolts.

You where all right execpt for the middle right in the first pic. Thats whats left of the oil pump drive off our 64 mustang after the pump locked up.

Well, I deleted the EGR and threw it on a shelf. So that would explain that.

Forgetful am I.....

Impressive work.

Thanks!

alright lets see if you know what these are, They don't go on a w-body that I know of all I know is they are basicly the strongest bolts out there and I got them cleaning out a garage from a dead relative that died and worked for gm his whole life and basicly he had a huge collection of stuff he pocketed from work and brough home.

Looks like Bowman bolts.
lol harbor frieght always has the strangest tools... they don't last very long but they get the job done

I love HF tools. Just have to know which ones to get and not to get from them. Some of their tools have actually lasted longer for me than other brands.

Ok Bill, got one for you. No pic but hopefully you know.

What size hex/allen is the front brake caliper bolts on a 95 Bonneville SE? Mine's got a sticking caliper so I left her at work yesterday and drove the GP in w/ tools this morning in hopes of fixing it only to discover that it wasn't a standard bolt

what does this plug into?

And for S's and G's, what are the bolt sizes for the front bolts and rear bolts of a GP downpipe?
