Temperature Control problem

I have a 2000 SE 3.1. The blower blows cold air n over heating . If I turn the hot/cold knob I can hear the blendor closing. When I turn the knob that directs the air and turn it to defrost the light in my a/c button comes on. Coolant level is fine.

no overheating. Colant in radiator and overflow tank fine. Wondering why the a/c knob lite comes on when I turn it to defrost and air won't warm or change directions.

flush your heater core. and look for a busted vac line off the back of the engine to the firewall then down the pass side fender under the fuse box. changing the battery can break the line, or it could be broken somewhere else. that vac line is what powers the airs direction of flow. def, vent, flow, or the mix of them.

just what is a head gasket checker??????? come on now. lets try the proper terminology.

you can rent a compression tester.

or a o2 gas tester kit. art # for tester is in the vid.

Scott, I just typed "head gasket tester" into Google and the first thing that showed up was the blue fluid thing. I don't see the problem.
