Temp Gauge running hot

I have a 03 Grand Prix Gt, my temperature gauge is always running hot when the car is not actually heating up. I hooked the car up to a computer/scanner and the scanner reads 210-219 but the gauge is all the way up at 235. I just replaced the temp sensor and i dont seem to understand why this is happening.
 


hey fellow southfielder. i have seen others do this also...maybe sensor again. could be the guage i guess. i dunno the year ....
 
I have gotten sensors that are off. there is 2 sides to the sensor. One side is for your pcm and the other side works your gauge.
