Hey my name is Amanda. Im new to everything Pontiac. My bf and I just bought me a 01 Grand Prix. That's all I know about it to be honest lol. He is doing his best to teach me everything but apparently i'm not the quickest to pick it up.
I honestly never even liked these cars til I rode in his (supercharged 06). I LOVE his and am now coming around to the idea that maybe not all Pontiacs are gay lol. I apologize if this offends anyone.
Anyhow, I am joining in hopes that I can learn from some true Grand Prix lovers.

So what do you want to learn?

Here's all that I know from my 6 years of experience of owning a Pontiac (00 GT, 04 Gto, 06 Gto):
Pedal on the left makes car stop.
Pedal on the right makes car go forward.
 
Her BF (Me) does not trust her in a boosted car, she's been driven mine for a month or so. She wont even go into boost herself untill i drive the car...LOL
 


a stock gtp is still a slow pig though.... not a big difference between the GT and GTP..... at least in the 97-03

...shoulda got a GTO or TA if you wanted a non-gay Pontiac (shiftable, RWD)

hmmm... well, good thing I haven't driven a GT then.... my GTP is a dog... even modded... oh well, at least it's not very expensive to own or maintain...
 
you call a 3.4 setup modded? LMFAO right.... 3.4 setup is basically what should have been there stock....

arguably it should have been a 3.0 setup with headers. rockers and a full size I/c stock....

so yeah, unless you have head/cam done to your car i'll still consider it mostly stock.

Just for the record, I generally don't go into boost cuz I see how much gas he goes through when he drives the car. I would LOVE a fast car like his! I don't have multiple speeding tickets because I enjoy driving slow lol.
I pretty much wanna learn how to care for the car properly myself so I'm not the dumb blonde broken down on the side of the road with no clue what to do. My man is handling that part of my schooling though.
Other than that I just want tips on how to make the car sexy. Cuz right now it's pretty gay lol.
So maybe some pics of ur cars for ideas? Assuming anyone has anything worth looking at lol.

tint the tails... get some headlights... get new exhaust tips.. tint? ... different spoiler, hood, front bumper... only so much u can do to these POS.
