My friend has a subwoofer setup with two 10" kickers and a 1000 watt amp. He had a small LED strip we wanted to put over the subs.

We couldnt find a suitable power source and we only wanted the lights on when the amp is on, so is it okay to use the remote wire going to the radio as the positive wire for the LED strip?

The strip has super low power-consumption so would this cause any problems?

Thanks,
-Ryan

No, do not use the remote on your amp. its not a 12 volt supply and will fry out the remote trace in your radio and amp. quit being lazy and run a suitable ignition source back.:th_laugh-pointup:

running something as small as that will not hurt running it off the remote. I have run numerous neons and fans at the same time off the remote w/o any issues.

I figured hayden was just being a douche but since i just let it slide. The LED strip doesn't even light all the LED's at once because it does a "zig-zag" effect so it only has one LED being powered at any given time. Also has a 12V resistor soldered in so its not hurting anything.

Thanks :P

The 200-300 MILLI amps that your deck puts out is just enough to open the relay on your amp. If you need a little more nutrience in the slow cooker and don't wanna run a relay, hook it to your trunk light so when you pop it, bling bling.
