Tanks silver 04 GT2 (lots of pics)

OK it was really hazy today and I was driving home at dusk time and it looked like my beams out of my projectors were crossed... Like my driver side is facing towards the passenger side... I don't know weird... But my cut off is fine. I don't know just my ocd kicking in. Anyways I got my oil changed today at work. And while it was up our oil change guy pointed out that it looks like some transmission fluid hoses are leaking. They are like right underneath the engine and right about the plasic damn that kinda runs below the engine... And they are definitely leaking he put a little Trans fluid since it was low and sent me on my way. I should get some pics tomorrow to make more sense

Loosing the battle with condensation... I've sealed these guys twice and moisture is still finding it's way in.
 
I used window weld and then some GE silicone waterproof window sealant stuff to make sure it was sealed... But apparently I'm missing a spot haha
 
And just for back from the junk yard... And a total bust. Jesus there was absolutely nothing. A ton of shi**y 97-03 and then the 04-08 was picked over so bad they were unless. There was a comp g that was in ok shape but 100% bone stock. I'm hoping one day I can go and find roof rails or a gxp or something;) i got lucky with my $25 gxp/spo spoiler;)

At least your yard had 04+ cars. The whole time I've been going to mine, I've only ever seen one. It was an '05 base. I'm not sure why they even set it. The front was hit so hard, I didn't see anything usable. Somebody snagged the needles and that's about it.

No shortage of '97-'03 SE's though. I guess your market determines what cars they set. Lot of older cars still rolling around out here.
 


I find 04s all the time.. They seem to be way more common now then let's say 2 years ago.. I'll be lucky to stumble upon one. Having come across any 40th though so I can hack the roof rails.. Sadly I really don't need anything that j find on 99% of them or the parts are in terrible condition. Came across a GXP once and got me some goodies :)

I wouldnt call it luck lol.. It's more like patient haha. Rarely do I find good parts that don't either cost a arm and a leg or are in good condition.. My ocd gets the best of me sometimes.

Here in the Grand Rapids, MI area, there are a million 97-03 SE's, GT's, and GTP's. Easily 10+ at each junkyard.

04+ isn't as common, but when they do show up, they are usually just a base model. Typically there is about 3 per junkyard I travel too, but nothing worth grabbing.

When it comes to Daytonas / Special Editions / 40th Ann. / and even the GXP I've never seen one here in the Junk Yard, sadly.

Surprisingly there was only about one gtp out of 8 cars 97-03. There was an ssei thats engine caught fire;)

had Christmas with my dad tonight and I got some car goodies. 2003 lca with a Dorman front sway:) I'm really excited to get these things on. Most likely going to have my work do it. And this bar is HEAVY. I love it
 
Happy new year everyone! Here's a little update for plans for the upcoming year... Hopefully all happening before the meet.
1. Install my new sway and lca's as soon as possible. I probably won't do this. I work at a Chrysler Jeep Dodge ram dealer. I've been pondering if I should just do it and save some cash but I will just see how much it is with my discount.
2. Once it warms up I want to do some engine bay stuff. Nothing crazy just black or mabye a little bit of silver. I was thinking some value covers or something simple. I don't want it to flashy becuase there is nothing under there to show off;)
3. Retro's. I need to re aim them. After spending some time on hid planet and learning more about it I think I need to read align them. And mabye put some gaylos or something. Some of the builds those guys do on there is really sweet. And a reseal because even after sealing them twice they are still fogging up.
4. Lows. Yea I said it. It puts my summer wheels to shame with all that wheel gap so I just want something simple. And no I'm not getting coil overs ;)
5. I still haven't got mufflers that i wanted from last summer.
6. Keep my eyes open on Craigslist and forums for hoods and roof rails.

So that's the somewhat plan so far. Counting down the days until the meet!

What's the mileage on your car currently.. Struts aren't necessary unless the current ones are wearing out.. Some will replace them at the same time some will just opt to use they're current ones until they need replacing
