i have a 2000 gtp 4 door and i cant seem to get the front seats out. i removed the 2 main bolts holding the seat down, and the seatbelt nut. it seems like there is something holding it down towards the front of the seat? i cant get it.

some help would be appreciated , thanks.

1. Put seat in mid position on the track and full up position.
2. Remove front seat retractor side belt anchor nut.
3. Remove front seat retractor side belt from front seat.
4. Remove seat adjuster to floor pan bolts.
5. Disconnect power seat electrical connector.
6. Disconnect seat belt reminder electrical connector, driver's side only.
7. Disengage front hook attachments.
8. Remove front seat from vehicle.

It talks about "disengaging front hooks" and "engaging front hooks" when putting the seat back in but no further description.:th_scratchhead:

thanks, yeah i read that somewhere too. hmmm... hopefully someone can chime in whos done it.

yea you gotta tilt the seat forward...easiest if you recline it...all the way back and then you lift the headrest to the ceiling and then slide the seat backwards

Recline the seat all of the back and pick up on the base of the seat in the back, tilting it upwards. pull rearward on the base of the seat, it should move about 1-2", then lift the seat out.
