Taillight Tinting Problem!

I tinted my taillights about 2 months ago, they turned out great and have held up well. However, they are not as shiny as I'd like them. They looked real shiny after each coat, but when I put the clearcoat on the shininess disappeared. Can I add another coat of the nightshade stuff without appling the clearcoat to get that shiny appearance and have them hold up???

This what they look like

i had the same problem turns out the clear coat was laying around for a while and didnt work so great i bought a new can and it came out good

use the DupliColor wheel clear coat, turns out MUCH better. tinted my S-10 tails about 2 years ago and they still look like new (minus the time we were drinkin and it was backed up a little to close to the fire and a melted em just a little lol...please no redneck comments on that one!)

wetsand with 1000 then 2000 until it looks smooth no little bumps or indents....then buff with 3m rubbing compound and polish....using a drill attahcment buffer works amazing.

Wetsanding will just take the orangeppel and dirt out of the clear. Buff them using a compound and finish with a polish.
