tail light electrical prob

My tail light on my 2000 gtp comes on when I use the breaks but my regular night time running lights are always off anyone know why is happening?

Check fuses first.

i would check fuses, go though measure voltage, check ground, connections. Do any of your parking lights work?

Yea the parking lights do work

Power for the rear parking lights comes from a 20A fuse under the hood, goes through the headlight switch, then through the DRL module, then out to the tail lights. Like jteske said...check power and ground at the lights. The ground for the tail light circuit is in the right front door sill area just in front of the passenger seat...IDK why.

if you have a bad ground you can reground, i had on off issues with a bad wire on my ol 97 and that cleared it all up
