Tachometer stops working & the trac light comes on at the dash while driving

Hello,
I have a 2000 GT 4 door with 130,000 km on it. While i am driving the the car the Tachometer stops working (goes to 0) & the trac light comes on at the dash. If I stop & turn the car off & restart it the tach starts working again & the trac light goes out. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? I have tried doing a search but I do not get anything. Any help would be appreciated.
