Tach and Tcs light

OK, I need some help with my 2000 Grand Prix GTP. Lately the tachometer just quits working and then the tcs light comes on, the rest of the guages work as they should.

Sometimes when it happens the car shudders and seems to accelerate sluggish, but not always. Once restarted works as normal for a while at least. There is no service engine light on. Any thoughts???

I have an 2004 gt that is doing the same thing, so far I'm thinking its either the ignition control module, or body control module.

It's the CPS. My car did the same thing that you are describing.

Mine does the same thing. I would have to say that the TCS light should not have anything to do with the RPM gauge.
