so i have been wanting to get HIDs for my 06 grand prix but the only thing holding me back is that i have a system in my car and i get the headlights flickering from time to time is there anything i can do to help fix the system from making my headlights flicker?

Get a capacitor or alternator or u can run a separate battery for the system are the best ways i have heard or simply turn down the volume

start with either a yellow top or maybe a cap. next would be alternator. HID's might cause you to sound like a tape player running outta batteries without fixing it first.lol

im not putting the HIDs in till i fix that problem cuz the flickering will cause the ballast to shoot **** and the bulbs to burn out. what does a cap. do? and the yellow tops are exspensive

1farad is the norm ive seen, im not really 100% sure myself, im not a car audio guru, i have been reading alot online tho because i want a big system so i figured i should learn how to hook it up lol

some say capacitors are a waste of money... optima yellow or red top.... price around 200ish or get a new alternator.

me personally i would do the battery, then the altenator, then the capacitor. i may be wrong but capacitors are meant for if you have almost no voltage drop and it'll clean up the power a little bit. i would get a meter and check the voltage at the battery and see how low it drops when the bass hits
