• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Synthetic Brake fluid

make sure its 5.1 instead of dot 5. dot 5 is best for non abs set ups using parts that can withstand much higher heat ratings than a stock system. dot 5.1 is best for abs setups using stock parts. i used 5 on my race bike and ended up destroying the brakes because the fluid got so hot that it ate all the rubber seals and stock brake lines. 5.1 is glycol based and does not get nearly as hot.

personally on a street car that doesnt see much if any roadcourse duty i would use dot 4.

"ideally, silicone fluid [DOT 5] should be used only to fill non-ABS systems that have not been previously filled with glycol based fluid. Any system that has used glycol based fluid will contain moisture; glycol fluid disperses the moisture throughout the system and contains corrosion inhibitors. Silicone fluid does not allow moisture to enter the system, but does not disperse any that is already there, either." - wikipedia
