If you saw my welds on my crossover and dp you would puke LOL im def not a good welder but they will hold i think! Nice work dood
 
I am not the welder, that is a skill I would love to have but it's very expensive. My new buddy josh, a friend of bill and max's, is the welder and he is amazing at what he does. Fixing this exhaust was pain in the ass. It's still leaking where the dp meets the turbo but that's because it's the only flange we didn't replace and I'm sure it's bent a little. So I'm ordering a new flange and we will fix that and some of my IC pipes, ones a little short with a long coupler on it. Aside from a possible axle issue the car felt great on the ride home, was quieter in the car since the connection at the lower dp wasn't leaking anymore.

Since I don't have a cat we moved the flex to that spot on the dp. This is before he welded the second half all the way.

It's hard to tell in the pic but this weld was smooth, like the pipe was made from one piece smooth.

Wow, you guys kept going through the night? I thought you were going to stay over and go at it again today.

FWIW I think I see my feet in the pic with the silver GP in it. Sorry I couldn't stop in for more than a few minutes and help a little bit more. However ...thanks to both you and Josh for helping me with my various spur of the moment projects. (Moving pinball machines, loading a fridge while I wasn't even there....lol).

Josh's welds are amazing, he goes out of his way to make sure things fit and look their best.
 
Yup we finished up around 1am, I got home at 3:15. We didn't get the intercooler the done though so we will be back in a month or so.
 


I might take you and Josh up on the maintenance offer. :th_laugh-lol3: Although it seems like that would be a long commute for you to get to work.
