Sway bar flipped

Anybody has any tips on doing this.
I am mechanically inclined.
But i'm sure that any tips would make it easier on me.:th_thumb-up:
Thanx.

take it out..flip it over so the bend in the middle goes the other direction..reinstall.

are you thinking this is your knock issue? usually youd see a big knock, but it would dissipate if that were true but yours is constant.

It gives you more clearance between your down pipe and sway bar. There is a hump in the middle of the bar that will curve down after the flip hence giving more room. Mostly it only needs to be done when headers or a larger downpipe are installed.

I love how it only took scotty 8 minutes to move this thread after i said something. lol

I should have caught it earlier as I have been watching thread placement as best I can but sometimes there is just so many of them in the wrong place I miss a couple here and there.

I failed!:th_thumb-down:
I was able to loosen it up.
But was't able to remove from the car.:th_angry2:
The flex dp was on the way, and was late and dark out.
I didn't think about it till afterwards, i should of rock the engine forward to give it some clearance.

How true is this?
I put the 3.4 pulley and the knock was reduce to 1*.
So its not the down pipe?

I'd bet at least 1-2 inches. You gotta figure that there has to be room when the motor is under load...in a Drive or Reverse gear, or even WOT.

Maybe 2 inches on a stock sway bar. You would be surprised at how much the engine actually moves around, not only on the top side, but the bottom as well.

Did you ever get the sway bar flipped?

so left becomes right, right becomes left?

or front becomes back, back becomes front?
anyone have pics to help me figure out how to do this? lol
t.i.a

You're going to take it out as it is, Flip it upside down, then rotate it 180* and re-install.

It's a pain in the butt to get out too. I think i had to take one of my rims off to get it out.
