Swapping Seats - 99 GTP

Hey everyone,

I have the opportunity to get a set of black leather seats from a co-worker from his 2000 GTP that will be sent to the scrap yard in the coming weeks, as well as his HUD. I do need to confirm my '99 is prewired for the HUD, but it sounds to me like most are so it looks like it will be a fairly straight forward project.

However, my GTP has a beige cloth interior and the drivers seat is a 6-way power with manual lumbar. The leather seats have an 8-way power with power lumbar and heat. What are the chances that this seat will be a direct plug & play as far as the power movement and lumbar goes? I'm assuming I will need to do a little wiring for the heated seat?

He also said I could take out the door panels to match the seats but I am fairly partial to a black on beige interior - the console surrounding the instrument panel/gauges and shifter is a darker brown rather than black like the trim around the power window/lock buttons on the doors, seems silly to me. Any opinions on a black on beige interior?

Thanks for any assistance!

grab both sides of the new seats plugs, and the harness for the heated seats plugs and switches.

you will be doing some soldering of the new plugs into your car.

You may or may not have to do much. Many times in the 2000's the connectors are under the carpet for both the heated and power for seats. You may need to lift up the carpet and look once you get your seats out. Like Scott said ...get all the wiring and you won't regret or have too little.
