Swapped 05 L32 into an 04 L26 HELP???

Like it says I swapped an 05 S/C engine into an 04 n/a car. I left The engine harness on the S/C engine and unplugged the harness from the relay box under the hood. I checked the relay boxes and they were identical according to the fuse/relay charts. Swapped the entire cradle, engine, trans, harness and PCM from the 05 S/C car. From everything I could find to read up on, I thought it was a plug and play. Evidently I was WRONG. Everything plugged up fine but when I turn the key on I can't hear the fuel pump turn on. Turn the engine to start entire dash goes out (can't remember if that's normal) but nothing happens. Can't hear any relays. Nothing. SO... HELP!!!!

The PCM probably doesn't match vin's with the bcm and it's going into theft protection mode. You're gonna have to have someone with a tuner edit the VIN in the l32 PCM that's in there

Or better yet, plug in the l26 PCM and see if it fires up. That'll be an easy way to check. Do not drive it like that though. If it fires up, have someone with a tuner read the l32 PCM, edit the VIN to match the car, and swaperoo

I may run over there in a few mins and try it. It's in a friends garage. (he has a lift) Made the swap ALLOT easier. Took some pics of the swap. Will post a link later. Thanks again.

Yep. Allot easier than I thought. Did it by myself. A friend of mine was suppose to help, but he had a family member pass away. Question, if swapping the PCM works, would I be able to run it long enough to back it out of his garage and pull it onto my car trailer? Thanks again.

Yea, no problem there. The only real issue is the PCM not being tuned for boost. The L26 PCM will give it too much spark advance and not know how to handle the positive pressures on the map properly.

Great. I actually have a Digital Horsepower Tuner. I have never used it. But Is this Vin change something I could do? Thanks again.

Some dhp's won't work with the 04+ cars. I have only found 1 of 3 that will work with mine. I had to buy hptuners. You cant edit vin's with dhp, but you can with tinytuner. It's a free program and it saves it as a .bin file. As far as the bcm, I've never gone and looked for it on my 04, but it's usually just north of where your left foot would be while you're driving

YEP, that was it. Plugged the 04 n/a PCM into harness- the car started right up. So it does need the BCM from the 05 or have the 04 Vin flashed into the 05 PCM. I wished that would have been in a writeup somewhere. I would have put the BCM with the PCM whe I took it out of the car. Now I'm not sure what I've done with it. SO can anyone change the Vin in the 05 PCM for me with the 04 Vin??? Thanks for all the input already folks.

Yea, that's an option. If you don't have access to someone with a tuner, get a mail order tune from a vendor

Just don't get in to boost until you get a supercharged tune on there it you'll lean out

Humm, I can't get the laptop to recognize the interface with the DHP Tuner. It asks for which comm port it's hooked up to. I can't figure out which USB port is which comm port. I hooked the usb cable up and tried 1-16 on the designated comm port from DHP Tuner. It wouldn't recognize it at all. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
