as long as it all looks the same its fine, if a part looks different swap it.
I thought this might be it but it seems to be really stuck in there as if a bolt is holding from the inside.I think he means the axle stubs...big pry bar and a hammer.
you mean that brownish sludge isnt supposed to be there?Look up the axle replacement thread .. by me. It'll tell you that you basically smack it from the backside. Since those are in the trans..I'd be concerned that it's filled with fluid
I was able to get em out and reinstall in the other tran. I thought i pulled the axles the right way dam.. That was a pic of my busted trans.Those pieces are not held in by bolts. You took your axles out to pull your trans... so you should follow the same method to get those out of ...
Wait..that trans is the one you just took out? ugh.. you took the axles apart versus taking them out of the transmission. Those are the inner cups of the CV shafts. The brown sludge is your axle grease.
