• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

suspension replacement questions..

not sure on the fronts, i think you change the top one up front too, it will get the most movement in the right direction i'd think.

Front
Left. Right
Camber. -1.4. -1.6
Caster. 3.6. 3.1
Toe. .20. 0.06
Total toe. .26

Rear
Camber. -1.8. -1.5
Toe. -0.15 -0.38
Total toe. -0.53

No idea what any of that means..

the fronts,

specified range

camber between -1.4 -0.4
caster between 2.5 3.6
toe between -0.03 0.08

for the rears

specified range is

camber,between -1.4 -04

toe between -0.03 in 0.08 in

it looks like your out 0.4 on the rears your whole alignment is way off too.

so as long as your car is set up with in those ranges your golden.

old bolts will come out, take the nut off, then hit the threaded end with a mallet or block of wood and a hammer so you dont mushroom the end of the bolt. dont be afraid to hit them rather hard.

So I can get by on these bolts. And its not worth chaning the struts to fix the problem?

Are the +\- 1deg bolt enough then?

I hope the alighment people don't complain that I put the bolts on myself.

Can you tell me is the top or bottowm. Or asI suggested above

push each corner of your car down hard as far down as it will go, then let it bounce up, if it bounces 3 times then stops moving your struts are shot.

if it stops in one bounce, or a bit more, then they are good still and those bolts are way cheaper then new quick struts.

Ok thanks. In case you didn't see it... which bolt am I removing top or bottom? And is it different per front or rear?

I'd order the bolts online but I would like to resolve this, this weekend. So I need to find them locally

Omg.. just got the car back and what a difference....when he pulled the car around I can see the diffence in the wheels. They look straight now.... the stance is noticably diffetence.. the ride seems much quieter... the new tires I put are now the right size..

I wanted to but chickened out.. just didn't think I would have the time
Plus I was able to get thwm to take off another 50.00
