i see alot of suspension "how to's" but these things dont specify what vehicle they go on. what are th differences between the suspension per model and year? what works on what car?

if someone who knows puts out enough info maybe we can get this stickied?

I thought GXP e-brakes were always the 97-03 style.

How about the sways?

I can't see it being different as well.

I've been told GXP stuff is a direct bolt on for 97-03's and requires a new spindle for 04+ due to the e-brake.

Then in the front 04/05 LCA's dont have ability to run old sway bars. But 06+ does because of the old style LCA setup.

You are correct.

04+ non GXP GP's use a different e brake setup..

GXP Suspension setup:

Bilstein Comfort Struts Front and Rear
Springs are Identical to that of other GPs, but sit a tad lower
Front Sway bar is Hollow 34mm
Rear Sway bar is Solid 19mm
Front Sway bar connects to LCA
Rear Trailing arms are Tubular (GMPP essentially)
Rear Lateral arms are Identical to all other Grand Prix's
Front brake's are an Aluminum Dual piston sliding Caliper (Similar to the Vette Calipers) and use 12.7" Rotors
Rear brake's are vented 12" rotors with the E-brake in the hub.

"Flip" did a complete write up (including pics) on the GXP brake install for the 04+ GPs over on GPONA.

He's member here (onebadassgtp) , maybe someone can get him to post it over here.

and Bob was the first one to do it on ClubGP...

What did you want to know? I've done it too.

GXP brakes bolt on and its rec. to use the GXP brake.. Period much it

not exactly. i want to know more info on our suspension systems not only for myself but for the rest of the forum. what swaps from what car, what is available aftermarket, etc...yeah later on down the road will be some suspension mods, but not quite yet.

Sweet.

SLP sways would be nice.

Then the complete BMR kit would help as well.

Or get someone elses strut tower bars and the HT motorsports rear end kit. Its less expensive IIRC.
