supercharger whine

hey guys just a quick question.

when i bought my car a month ago the supercharger whine was a lot louder then it is now. it used to have a 3.4 pulley but no headers so i went back to stock.and yes i understand it would get quieter. i also have a cai but i can like never hear the whine... is there anything i should look into to get back that whine? the filter is a little dirty could that be it? and how would u suggest cleaning it or just get a new one

one thing you could try is taking the cone off all together and drive with no filter dont go very far or do it very long maybe just one time in your subdivision

i dont know why is this guy freaking out about a less audible supercharger whine????? im just offering a solution im not saying its the best and no one has to do it

Maybe he's worried that there might be an issue. Advising to run without a filter isn't a solution. It's quite the opposite.

Im on a stock pulley with open cone on the MAF (04+), and my whine is pretty loud when I get on it.. sometimes I can even hear it quietly even when Im not getting into boost, just around 3k rpm

You'd be surprised. Even on the cleanest streets.....if you took a broom to it, you'd end up with a pile of dirt, rocks and glass.
