Supercharger rotoar coating removal



I'm sure some sort of stripper or heavy duty parts cleaner would take it right off, but I wouldnt do it.

Though the coating is flaking off and someday most of it will be gone its still better to have some coating than no coating. You can lose boost if there is no coating at all.
 


Bad idea.... You will get less boost and it will be hotter boost as well. Let it be or get a genV off ebay.
 
im going to get the blower ported by zzp in a couple months after fix the exhaust leak ( which is somewere but cant find it) and when i pulled it off the supercharger the coating was peeling off and cant find a new rotors so didnt know how to fix it but yes Gen V is coming after intercooler and a cam
 
just wait for the gen 5 to come in, porting a blower with no coating is like pissing into the wind, especially when your looking to get a gen 5.
 


It's hard to justify the expense of a ported (ZZP) blower when to fix your problem all you have to do is find a used one for a fraction of the cost. Seen one here recently for like $80, average around $120-150 shipped. It's is also hard to justify the cost of a GenV swap verses the returns. If you are intercooling, that further negates the need for a GenV unless wanting to drop to insane pulley levels, IMO. I'd rather save that $ towards port/polish heads which give a good return on $... And just port the blower myself : )
