Supercharger questions??

I have my blower taken apart to clean and change coupling. I was going to steam blast it but I don't want to strip the grease from the needle bearings. I am just going to wipe it down with carb cleaner. I have read not to touch the rotors, just leave them grimy. I noticed some scratching on the rotors and case. is this normal? there seems to be no play in the bearings. Anything I should look for while I am in there????

Have any of you guys cleaned the rotors with success or is it not worth the chance. I keep thinking the carbon build up hurts efficiency but if I clean it and the coating strips that would also hurt efficiency.

You would never be able to tell the difference if the rotors where free of minor cabon build up.

A M90 is not a blower that preached efficiency in the first place.

I have a related question. Is there a tool to rent to get the needle bearings out? Excuse my ignorance, but I vaguely remember it being mentioned somewhere..

Knowing what it looks like would also be helpful.
