Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Supercharger Pulley Swap [*]

Re: Supercharger Pulley Swap

I need to do something like that. As simple as it is, its still good information as that breather nut tend to be the part the kinks up all well laid plans to me.

This HOW TO write-up on Changing your Supercharger Pulley has been added to the How To section and can be found HERE.

Say, I was just browsing the forums and came across this write up, and thought I'd let you know that one of the picture links is wrong. The second thumbnail on step four links to 'Install_2.JPG' when it should link to 'Setup2.JPG'.

Thanks for the how-to though!

You have to have supporting mods...you just can't drop a pulley size and except to have a faster car.

Unless you are super man and plan on pulling the old one off with your hands then yes. It also installs the new one.

Could but'd you probably pay out the ass and why take the S\C off and have to buy new gaskets and worry about it sealing if you don't have to. Just rent one, buy one , or have someone put it on for you.

Because Im buying a complete unit and have an mps hub to put on, so I thought that would be the easiest way.

There's a grand prix chapter for the OKC area i believe. See if you can google them surely someone has a puller that will install that for you for free. I have a puller but i'm way up in Topeka and it's lent out to another member at the moment.

does the little cap on the end of the snout unscrew?... ... I tried prying it out and snapped off the edges assuming it was a pop in christmas tree... I think I'm screwed now... ugh...

can you use any pulley remover, or does it have to be the Gm supercharger pulley remover?

DO NOT use any "Pulley Remover" You can damage the snout doing so. Rent one from ZZP or one of the other online vendors. Maybe there is someone local in Ohio that has one available too.

I have a similar problem..only i screwed right through the plastic piece and now i cant get the pulley to budge. Now its bent beyond use.. :(
