Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Supercharger not whining

On the vacuum tee on the top of the supercharger follow the vacuum line closest to the front of the car. It's very short. That goes to the body bypass valve.

He must have been removing the cover.

If you think your boost is working..crack the clips on the airbox and pull it open.....then start it, floor it and see if you hear a difference.

Oh jeeze stock airbox thought that was not a thing. Remove airbox, get cone filter. Install. Floor it. Enjoy

Man. That car. Is it ok? Or were you not flooring it?

*sidetrack convo*

I didnt floor it right away but by the end it was to the floor. It has an issue with the cat but other than that it is fine as far as I know. Ive had it for less than a month though and its my first GTP so I really don't know what to expect.

How do you change the oil in it?

Stock airbox equals no whine. When I test drove my car I had no idea it was supercharged. (Didn't know Pontiac took the GTP nameplate from the Grand Prix in 06)

I took the car for a test drive and got on it and it pulled really hard. I even commented on how hard it pulled for being NA. Then I got back to the dealer lot and popped the hood and saw the supercharger. There was no indication of whine until the airbox came out.

Hmmm, so this thread could have been 3 posts long, not 3 pages. Cmon, give this noob some pickles, I've earned em. :)

I'm not a noob bandook, I've been a mechanic for almost 5 years, but I've been working in my garage, and I have never worked on a supercharged gp either...

home depot pipes and couplers, use real hose clamps from a parts store, they work better, and buy a open cone filter.

you can find a 90* elbow, or use a 45 like i did, or slap the filter right in the TB.

and the sad truth is, there are no gains from running a intake. just noise that will drive your right foot for the sound. and kill mpg if you really like the sound lol
