Supercharger noise, rattle HELP!

You can get it from gm, but it would be much cheaper to get from zzperformance. Not really that difficult to find. Just don't think parts stores carry them. Mine is a 97 with 92+ thousand miles. Started chattering a few months ago, but she sat for about 2 years. It's basically a plastic bushing, so like most parts, it's going to depend on how hard you drive your car. There is no set time or milage it will do this, but there are factors that will cause it to wear quicker.

i have a flutter/rattle noise but its when i barely accelerate on a gradual pull. when i idle and punch it is not there. i cant figure out what exactly it is.

If it is rattling under acceleration, you probably have bearings going out in the s/c, or at least the snout. I would consider a rebuilt one from zzp, or there is a guy on ebay that only does m90's, the price isnt that bad, after core.

i have this same rattling at idle that is likely the coupler (although i dont see why it couldnt be the bearings).

if this part goes, will the SC come apart, or just uncouple and no longer function? i am hoping it's the latter, but if it's the former, i will park it and change the coupler.

thanks!

I wish I could have the records of how many superchargers the dealerships removed and replaced when all it was is the coupler. The guy I know and always talk to at Magnuson said those were the biggest money makers for them were those crappy couplers.
