• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Supercharger noise - '99 GTP

use a very thin smear of the sealant on the snout side and the case side, and i mean thin.

Yep, what he said, use a very thin smear. it's an open bath bearing setup you don't want a bunch of crap floating around in there. you also answered your question on the shaft, mine was like yours it protruded about 1/8''.

Got this back together today after a delay. I had the snout all back together, except for the pulley and forgot to support the shaft when pressing the pulley back on. When I went to push on the pulley, it pushed the opposite end bearing right out of position. I got to take everything apart and start all over again. Fortunately, I had put oil on all the surfaces, so everything came apart well and the seal still looked like new when I popped it out. I didn't make the same mistake twice - could have been much worse, so I'm counting my blessings that it all went smooth.

Thanks for all the tips on this, guys!
