super rare gtp

$2k for a 98' and reserve not met yet? Lmao! If it goes for over $3k, they're getting robbed!

19k isn't really such a bargain in such an old car, 4 mile daily trips for 16 years sux! But for $2k I'd take the body as I'm about to spend that getting mine rust free and new paint job, lolz.

All in all, nice find, just not worth the value it'll probsbly sell at, if at all.

Yup for $2k I buy it.. But I bet that reserve is to damn high.. To bad it's a 98 :(

My question is if it only has 19k miles how did they destroy the brakes, tires, spark plugs, spark plug wires, serpentine belts and alt tensioner? How did they put so many scratches in it? Why is it so dirty? And what is up with all the rust under the hood?

Most of those things are mechanical wear items not items that degrade over time.

I didn't look super close at it, but I did notice that the front bumper cover appears to have lots of rock chips and the car doesn't look like a 19k mile car. It looks more like a 100k mile car. Hell my 177k mile car seems to have a better shine.

Well its not really worth it, unless you plan on replacing many parts, not from wear, but from old. My 01 had 49.5k miles on it when i got it, has 66k now, and so far replaced alternator, and nearly everything on the suspension, struts, tie rods, cv axle, wheel bearings.

50-100k is the usual break down of some of those components anyway. I bought an 01 with 52k on it back in 05, and it needed hubs, rotors, tie rod ends, struts and a catalytic converter all within the first year I had it.

low miles is almost worse than a high miles car.

i got my 97 with 208k in trade for a turbo install....hell everythings already been replaced on it.

and it was cheap

lol it's up to $5,400.. The interior is super clean, but it's not rare.. it just has low miles, and it looks like they were pretty hard miles

Seller obviously up bidding it to find a sucker!

There's one born every minute and a Fool & their $ are soon parted!

Well it appears it sold for $5,700. I was talking to a guy a couple of months ago who bought a GT for $1,200. It looked identical to my car, same color, wheels, etc. But his was '98 and mine is 2000... and mine is 3.1. Anyhow I told him that I only paid $500 for mine, and he told me about a buddy of his that paid $6,500 for a 2 door GTP. lol so I guess $5,700 isn't too bad when there are people who pay close to $7,000. I personally don't like the 2 door models. I think they look just like a Monte Carlo from the side.
