 hello to all, I have a 2002 grand prix gtp. I have a question, Im not sure what it is called, but the display on the dash toward the middle that has the super charger output, fuel mileage, fuel used, oil life, etc.. well I let my girlfriend use my car and when I got it back the display didnt work, when I turn the lights on in my car those lights on that display dont light up either. but if I press the traction control button that does light up, as its suppose to.

Does anyone know what could have happened? do those displays just go out or is there a particular fuse for that display? or do you think that, that display just went out and needs to be replaced? any help would begreatly appreciated, and also any places I might be able to purchase a new one?

so since I didnt have any replies does that mean no one else has had this problem?? thats kind of hard to believe. someone please help me!!

Yes, I had the exact same problem. I will tell you what I did to fix mine. You will need to pull the d.i.c. out and in the back you will notice about 6 blue plugs. These are the holders for the bulbs. Now, these bulbs are wired in series which means if one burns out, they all go out. My issue was not a burnt bulb but dirty contacts. Take each one out (twist and pull) and on the circuit board you will notice 2 contact points. Take some stell wool and lightly scuff each point and put the bulbs back in and this should fix it. While the bulbs are out make sure none of them are blown. Check the fuse first to be sure before you pull the dash apart but I doubt it is the fuse. If you have any problems pm me and I will help you out.

A pencil eraser works real good to clean contacts, just a plain old #2 pencil with a good eraser on it.
