Sunroof Wedged open

I have a 99 GTP and as of today the sunroof is stuck in the open position.

When I go to close it, instead of it coming forward and then closing down into the roofspace, it is now coming down as it comes forward, so after an inch of (forward/downward) movement the rails dig into the roof and it is wedged. I can back it to the fully open position but the problem of not being able to close it remains (to that end I think the motor seems to be fine). I'd happily disassemble it from the rails to get a better look, but nothing is accessable in the open position. Trying to hold it up as it closes, or "helping" it along yielded no positive results.

Has anyone seen or heard of this? Any ideas would be greatfully welcome. -Doug.
 


I have the same problem right now..lol
But Mine got stuck this way after I just installed a new position switch (it connects to the motor) My sunroof is all the way open but when I got to close it it starts going down like its wanting to close instead of going forward...I think I have to figure out how to "synchronize" the motor..if you didnt mess with yours and it just started I bet that position switch is at fault..if I get mine figured out I will post it
