anyone on here installed a sunroof on a GTP that didnt come with one when ya bought it? been toying with this idea for a few months and wondering if anyone did a custom job and installed one.:confused:
 


I have seen one, They chopped the top from a GP with a sun roof at the roof rails and at the top of the pillers then welded and painted it.

so they cut out the entire roof and used a roof from another GTP and welded and did all the body work to make it look right.

i assumed it would be simpler to just find a GP with a sunroof remove it measure the specs and cut accordingly. then install.
 
lol I'd really like to say **** the sun roof and make it a convertible but...... thats some custom work that i couldnt afford.
 
how about u lower the car? oh crap, wrong post.

it was either on GPONA or over here, there was a topic where ive seen pics of that conversion. like how josh described.

ANd as a matter of fact I am getting ready to cut one out of an 05. They are the same in both 97-03 ans 04+ at least the couple I have remove and worked on from 97, 00 and 05. If anyone is needing one with all the controls and headliner if needed.

theres places that will install aftermarket sunroofs (such as in cars that didnt have one from the factory/made without one) its actually a pretty common thing to do
