Suction in Power Steering Pump?

I have a 2003 and I noticed power steering struggling so I replaced the pump with no change.  I know I have magnasteer and I know it's not working I have only about 60% power steering. Also noticed when I open my power steering cap it's building alot of suction and then it will work much better till the air builds back up. Am I suppose to have a venter cap on the power steering with magnasteer or what's going on here? <br><br>

the pump does spin inside, its a pump after all. when the fluid is low they can growl or make a sucking sound. as well as whine.

Fluid level good and it doesn't whine. I'm just not getting all my power steering. I was thinking of drilling hole in my cap for air to escape or buy a venter cap.

thats why.

you need to fix the abs issue, then the steering will be back to normal. abs tc and magnasteer all work off them speed sensors in the hubs. abs light comes on, the steering gets super firm feeling.

I believe that I had a code for the abs control module code and that's like $1500 if I remember no way I'm buying that. Like I said if I remove my cap let air out my power steering works beautifully. I think I can get around it with vented cap but I don't know lol

thats like a 100 bucks to have rebuilt, its east to take off. you can drive with it missing, then ship it out to be re built. modulemaster.com is the place most deal with, they ship it back rather fast too i hear.

then theres the old snag one off a junk yard car.

if that link is for your year car, the price went up, but still better then what the dealer wants.
