You will most likely only need one oil change. Water sits below oil when separated, so don't start it at all before changing it. Whatever tiny amount is left over afterwards would be comparable to the condensation I get in the winter. And I get a lot because of all the short trips I make. I remember people helping in that situation saying "Oh it's coolant, you need new lim gaskets" even after telling them that short trips are always being made. Once spring came around I had no more water under the cap, and no more occasional foam under it.

since i did my lim gaskets, my oil cap is 100% sludge free, and all i do is short trips. i used to get some snot under it all the time, summer winter you name it. so maybe its time yours got done?

Mine are aluminum :th_biggrin2:. And like I said it's 100% moisture free now, and the occasional sludge would happen if I didn't wipe the moisture off the cap every so often, the water would drip down into the oil.

mine too lol its been bone dry since the lim job. its nice to not see all that yellow/white snot under the cap.
