Subwoofer help....

peak is pointless
rms is 2kw per sub
mine are D1s

Just seems so silly to put that much power to a subwoofer, I mean I'm sure it hits hard you could theoretically get the same output with 500 watts to two separate woofers. But i suppose different strokes for different folks. Sometimes a system requires more than just raw power to sound great.

Depends on what you like... I prefer massive SPL (sound pressure levels) whereas, some prefer SQL (Sound quality).

I respect that. All I am saying is you could achieve the same spl level with less power and more come surface area. By the way, thanks for the definitions...

I put the definitions up simply because there are people that don't know. I have infinity components (Kappas front/rear), and had a Sundown Nightshade 12V1 in a ported box tuned for 28-30hz, box itself is 2.25cu ft.

Im sure it pounds! Anyway, back to the thread at hand. I would like to hear that system. I have all infinity kappa perfects in my car, very happy with them!
