Replaced my upstream O2 sensor today. Wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was gonna be. Here's the old one (left) compared to the new one.

Also, when I was leaning over the rear of my engine today, I kept getting whiffs of gas while the car was off. My face was right by the fuel lines. So I guess it's not the FPR, looks like I have a cracked fuel line on top of the engine somewhere. It was more discernible in the spot where all the lines are in one big wire loom. So now I have take that off and investigate :(.

So here's the dealio with my seat.

I took it out and pulled the leather bottom up to get a glimpse at what was causing the strange bump. Turns out it's this:



You can see my finger pointing at the culprit. That plastic bead thing snapped and is pushing upwards. So I tried snipping the ends that were pushing upwards, but it still wasn't enough.

So here's what I'm going to do now. Tomorrow I'll be heading to the junkyard and buying a new leather seat bottom to replace mine. I know there's a good one so I'll grab that one. It's from a coupe, but I think it should still work. Then I won't have that annoying raise in the seat anymore.

Just get it nice looking with tasteful mods. Most of which will be aesthetics. Quad exhaust tips, license plate cover (mine didn't come with one) with a black inlay, patching and painting the bumper, door sill inlays, spark plugs and wires, painting all the engine bay stuff like the engine mounts and support bars.

if you had a ride in my top swapped car you'd be saving up (even before the ic went on.) it was way stronger then my old engine was.

its kinda proven a top swapped gt is faster then a stock gtp.

I know because we have higher compression so we get a bit more power. But if I'm gonna spend that much, I might as well go turbo for way more power. But either way I'd need a trans rebuild which would be way too much.

I'd still have to spend $2000+ on a tranny rebuild. There goes modding money.

If you spend $2k on a tranny rebuild your doing it all wrong unless your going with some hard parts. TEP is your friend.

Would you really need to do that much to a the trans if you top-swapped and headers, maybe rockers? I mean, yeah, turbo you do, but I thought if you kept it under 300hp you were mostly safe on the tranny side (as safe as s/c 3800s are with trannys). IDK, just wondering.

You wont need a beefy trans to handle a topswap mild build. 90% of people that have trans issues have issues because they drive like retards... the other 10% actually made more power than their trans could handle. Top Swaps can be done for a few hundred bucks. The gain is well worth the cost and work.
