Sub question.

Okay guys. A couple questions. I just got my hands on this sub for free:
Legacy LWF10X (lwf-10x) 10" Single 4 ohm L Series Car Subwoofer

My question is can I hook it up in my car. Currently, I have this amp:
Hitron HPA400.4 (hpa4004) 400W Max, Pro Series 4-Channel

I have my stock head unit and I am using a line out converter for signal. It is powering my 6.5 inch door speakers, and my 6X9 deck speakers. I was wondering if you could somehow add that sub onto my little system?

Thanks for the help guys.

lol u could remove the 6x9 and power them off the deck and bridge the rear speakers and hook it to the rear speaker output as a mono

yeah if your not worried about 4 channel operation you could do the above. i would check final ohm load on the high side to see if it ok.

Hmm. What if I want to keep the whole set up amped still. What if I put the 6.5's which aren't very power hungry onto one channel, put the 6X9's on their own channel, and then bridge the sub over two of the remaining channels? Or keep the 6X9's how they are and give only one channel to the sub?

you need another amplifier if you want to power all 5 speakers by an amp. I would just use the front 2 for the 6.5's and bridge the back two for the sub. and run the 6x9's off the headunit. or buy a mono amp and a better sub
